ORKA ....

Orka is a Musician, Singer songwriter and teacher whose passion lies in spiritual development, Self knowledge and love as a force of activism, Ritual artistry and ceremonies.
In her journey for the past 16 years, Orka has explored the ceremonial, spiritual and healing aspects of the concept of Singing Circles.
Working with thousands on Opening their voices and shining their uniqueness through voice. Her ground breaking project, 'Orot', established together with Uria Tsur, has taken this work to another level.
Orka's interest in interactive work with the audience lead her to explore ways of bringing these qualities of healing and deep spiritual engagement to a full band on-stage performance, thus creating her project "Forestt".
Orka has released 4 albums with her different projects and many additional tracks and singles.

Orka has worked with hundreds of women, both in her voice workshops, and in the 'Medicine Women's Choir' that she established,
where she aims at inspiring the voice of the 'new feminine' to open up, take the lead and share both strength and vulnerability.
After many years of performing internationally with these projects, topping the charts in Israel, giving a TedX talk and taking an active role as a woman leader in
her community, sharing different projects with the world she is now releasing her new dream project along side the pianist Stav Goldberg,where together they have written and composed new music aside to their renditions and interpretations to spiritual music classics.
Orka is 41 years young, a mother of twins, based in Portugal and Costa rica
A true believer in Human kind and the conscious way of the heart.

WHAT IS ECSTATIC DANCE ?

Ecstatic dance is a free-form movement and type of dance form, practiced without a fixed choreography.
The idea of ecstatic dance is to completely lend yourself and your body to the rhythm of the music. In ecstatic dance, you move freely through the space leading to a state of trance and ecstasy (hence the name ecstatic). In trance, many dancers find that ecstatic dance brings them into a deep meditative state.
- LIMITED SPACE - in order to offer you the best experience possible we decided to restrict the number or participant, best purchase your ticket in advance to ensure entrance.
- Food, cacao, drinks, and drinking water will be available.

ECSTATIC DANCE GUIDELINES ~

The following guidelines are typical of those followed at hundreds of conscious dances around the world, having been developed through community discussions and agreements over decades.
Please note: This is a Safe and Sacred Space - drug, smoking & alcohol-free!
Be mindful of others' personal boundaries. Move freely in all directions/ respect all dance forms and the people around.
It's a Non-verbal journey / with no mobile phones. together with love, we build a higher vibration.
Be clean. Please arrive fresh with a clean body and clothes, as some of us are sensitive to any scented products (including essential oils) or strong body odors.
Be curious, open, and accepting. Please suspend judgments of self or others.
Please bring a refillable water bottle, there is free water.
