You’ve seen them all over the internet and now is your chance to make your very own Tamarack Jacket in time for Spring! This super fun class, taught by Melanie MacDonald, is a great entry point to garment making.
As you are a seasoned quilter, we will be spending our time together focusing on the jacket construction and not piecing design elements. This will allow you to make the jacket from a single fabric or from patchwork panels you have made at home. Melanie has even made one from an old quilt. It is a great way to bring a quilt a second life.
To ensure a successful outcome we will be adding patch pockets, and not welt pockets, during the class.
Please arrive to the class with your size determined, your pattern pieces copied and your fabric quilted.
Melanie is so excited to show you how to make this jacket! This class should come with a label:
WARNING ADDICTIVE!
Please note that while this is a great garment-making entry point for seasoned quilters, this class would not be appropriate for a new sewer.
