This event is perfect for artists of all levels looking to enhance their skills and explore new techniques and loose brushwork with oils. We focus on

• editing photos to enhance a reference
• composition
• loose brushwork
• creating depth
• adding more colour to the scene
• undertsanding oil paint and how to layer to paint "wet on wet"
• avoiding MUD

Michelle Reid is an award winning Canadian artist who has quickly become recognized for her unique abstract-impressionism. Her contemporary landscape paintings in oil are distinct, vibrant, and full of hope.

She has been painting for nearly 10 years and currently features both contemporary nature and urban subjects in her work, noted for capturing the sunlight through colour but also for conveying a sense of the spirit of a place. Her work shines so bright you’ll want to reach for your sunglasses.

DAY ONE

10:00 Set up, sketch composition

12ish Catered lunch is served

1:00 Colour block-in

3:00 Clean-up, Group Critique with refreshments
