Get your hands dirty and connect with the land through the living traditions of Indigenous pottery. Join us for a one-day, hands-on workshop led by emerging Kingston artist Sheldon Traviss, whose Haudenosaunee-inspired ceramics are deeply rooted in culture and community.
Learn about traditional pottery methods, explore the cultural significance of handbuilt vessels, and craft your own small piece using locally sourced materials. All skill levels are welcome, and all materials are provided.
At the end of the session, Sheldon will take the pottery to be fired in his studio. Participants will be contacted afterward to arrange pickup of their finished piece.
☀️ If weather permits, the workshop will be held outdoors—please dress accordingly and bring a water bottle, hat, and sunscreen.
🎟️ Pre-registration is required. Spots are limited—reserve yours today!
Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian—if you're only attending to supervise a minor, you do not need to purchase a separate ticket (But you should get a ticket and make your own piece too!)
