Time: 1 - 3PM
Location: Creativity Studios Common Area (Suite 214)
Age Range: Ages 18+

Does design have the power to rehabilitate the environment? How can we make technology that honours and learns from nature? These questions are cornerstones in Erin’s design methodology.
In this artist talk and activity Erin will share examples of her robotics work that explore bridging technology with the natural world. Together we will dive in to observe the inconspicuous details of her bio-inspired robots. As well you will get an inside look at her experiments in progress and the evolving vision that guides them.
You’ll bring your own creativity into the mix by making a hands-on butterfly garden ornament painting your favourite pattern from nature onto its wings. Perfect for anyone who cares deeply about the environment and how future generations will inhabit the planet this experience invites you to explore fresh approaches to environmental stewardship that go beyond traditional measures.
Each session is a stand-alone experience — attend whichever works best for you!
