Join Us for Public Safety Day!
Mark your calendar for Monday, June 9, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM as the Kingsport Police and Fire Departments host Public Safety Day at the Kingsport Farmers Market (308 Clinchfield Street, Kingsport).
This free, family-friendly event offers a close-up look at the vehicles, equipment, and specialized teams that keep our community safe.
What to Expect:
Kingsport Police Department will showcase patrol cruisers, SWAT team, drone team, and the bomb squad’s truck and robot.
Kingsport Fire Department: Come meet our New Fire Chief Jerry DeBerry. Kids will be able to get their chance to spray water from a fire hose. Comes see, the KFD ladder truck, a Fire Engine and the new KFD HAZMAT truck, along with gear, and equipment from their technical and water rescue teams.
Kingsport Lifesaving Crew and Sullivan County EMS will be on-site with emergency vehicles and an opportunity to explore the inside of an ambulance.
