Colm Skwirbat is an emerging talent in the Irish music scene, weaving together influences from his deep-rooted love for blues and newfound passion for Irish traditional music. Colm’s introduction to music came when his father built a 1-string guitar from a cigar box and a broomstick, and handed him the primitive instrument. He discovered a love for the music and traditions of the Mississippi Delta, and strives to preserve the rawness and authenticity inherent in that style in his own compositions. With appearances at renowned festivals like Electric Picnic and the International Rory Gallagher Festival, his dynamic live performances showcase his infectious energy and powerful, raw vocals. His music reflects his diverse influences, dedication to creativity, and willingness to depart from tradition in pursuit of something new and unique.
John Quearney began playing bass in the 1960s with Beat Groups around Dublin. Throughout his long and storied career, he's played with such national and international musicians and artists as Donovan, Jeff Healy, Big Jack Johnston (The Oil Man), Henry McCollagh (Wings), Brush Shiels, Red Peters, Don Baker, Paul Brady, Johnny Duhan, Ditch Cassidy, Wally Page, Johnny Fean, Jimmy Faulkner, Bree Harris, Honor Heffernan, Mary Stokes, and was a longtime member of The Business Blues band, and formed the bands The Heavyweights with Noel Bridgeman, Left Right n Centre with Ed Deane and Dublin Blues Cartel with Mick Pyro, who are still playing regularly to this day.
