Gather for a gentle Hatha yoga flow and serene Rainstorm Sound Bath, all while enveloped in the natural splendor of Lake Ilo National Wildlife Refuge.
Never tried yoga? That’s A-OK. Hatha yoga is great for beginners! It is a foundational style of yoga, with emphasis on individual postures, rather than a fast-paced flow. 😊 Facilitated by Wild Elm Yoga, Lisa will guide participants through a beginner-level flow, combining breathwork and mindful movement. This powerful combination helps to calm the nervous system, release tension in the body, and create space in the mind.
Following yoga, you’ll be treated to a 30-minute Rainstorm Sound Bath, facilitated by Belinda of Energy Wellness. Sound frequencies activate the parasympathetic nervous system, the system responsible for our rest and digest functions. Such activation restores and nurtures the body, mind, and spirit. This sound journey will include a variety of sound healing instruments including Tibetan Singing Bowls, an ocean drum, chimes, and shells.
It is an honor to partner with the Dunn County Park Board in offering this free event to southwest North Dakota. We hope to bring awareness to alternative self-care modalities while highlighting the picturesque public spaces we are so lucky to have access to in this area.
Come as you are to slow down, de-stress, and move in body and breath. Comfortable clothing, a yoga/exercise mat, water, and sunscreen are suggested. This event is for ages 14+.
