Join us for our annual 4th of July Celebration on Friday, July 4! Events all day including a pancake breakfast at the fire station, 5k race, parade, carnival, and a fun filled evening celebration.
PANCAKE BREAKFAST 7:30-9:30 AM
Enjoy a delicious pancake and sausage breakfast for $5 at Kentwood Fire Station 1, 4775 Walma Ave SE and head out to find your spot for the parade & 5K Race! Kids 3 and under eat for free.
5K RACE - 8:00 AM - New Start Time!
The race starts and finishes in front of Kentwood City Hall. Runners will loop through neighborhoods and come back on the East West Trail to the finish line! Check-in will be across from Fire Station 1.
PARADE - 9:30 AM
The parade starts at Crestwood Middle School, travels south on Walma to Breton, turns north at the roundabout, east on 44th Street and ends at Crestwood Middle School.
CARNIVAL- 10:30 AM-2:30 PM
Bring the kids for inflatables, rides, and games behind City Hall from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Purchase a carnival wristband in advance for $20 at City Hall and the Kentwood Activities Center on Wednesday, July 2 through Thursday, July 3.
EVENING CELEBRATION - 4:00-10:00 PM
The evening celebration takes place behind Kentwood City Hall and includes:
• Food Trucks
• Community Booths
• Beer Tent
• Live Music: Signal Trip, Simply in Time, and Par-llo Connection
• Fireworks at Dusk
