Charlie and his crew have delivered on their “we’re doing an album” promise with Pilot Boy, which takes off June 22nd from 1pm to 6pm at Malted Vinyl in Petoskey, and continues with a statewide tour of listening
rooms and live concerts. Pilot Boy will be entering Kalamazoo airspace at 7pm on Tuesday, June 24th at the Prairie Ronde Artists Gallery, 101 Prairie Street in Vicksburg. This free but limited space event is an album listening room experience that also features live performance by the duo of Charlie Millard and jercat millard.
The Charlie Millard Band approached this album with the dimensionality and intentionality of all their artistic endeavors at Hattie Jane Music, the umbrella enterprise that covers the White Piano Sessions,
Sparrow King Films, and the Hattie Jane Song Catalog—all artistic ventures and tributaries of millard & Millard. On Pilot Boy, their first studio-recorded album, “One track bleeds into the other as silhouettes and spotlit characters fill up the sides,” Charlie mused. “We're hoping the listener will reach the end of Side B and want to turn it over and listen again.”

From Alanson, MI, featuring percussionist Will Harris, Jercat Millard on guitars, and Charlie on the keys/organ/Rhodes bass, their Live performances have audiences raving about their refreshing Indie-Roll sound described as “small movies for the ears”.
