Main Street Brews and Tunes will host musical guest Iron Widow on Sunday, September 7, from 4 to 7 p.m. on the Plaza of the International Storytelling Center. Smash Bros Eatery food truck will be on site, along with local brews from Main Street Café.🎶🍺
Iron Widow is a duo formed by Brette and Myra Cardenas. They first began singing together in 2022, almost by accident, when casual moments of music quickly revealed how naturally their tones meshed. Since then, singing has become both a creative outlet and a bond that strengthens their partnership.
When they’re not running their family business, Buzzed Wings, Brette and Myra carve out time to share their love of music. Their style is rooted in strong harmonies, blending two voices into one sound that feels both raw and effortless. With a mix of warmth, emotion, and energy, Iron Widow brings authenticity to every performance, whether it’s a planned set or an impromptu moment with friends.
This event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket to ensure seating. Food and Brews will start serving at 4 p.m. with music beginning at 5 p.m. There will be rotating food trucks and brews on tap each week.
Yoga in the Park takes place during Brews & Tunes at 4 p.m. in Jimmy Neil Smith Park behind the International Storytelling Center. This week’s teacher is Rhonda Lacey. Each class last about an hour. There is no cost to participate; however, donations are welcome. All levels are welcome, from beginner to advanced, and this series will be taught by certified instructors in the area. Participants can bring your yoga mat, towel, or blanket. These classes are weather permitting. Learn more about Jonesborough.com/yoga.
