Main Street Brews and Tunes will host musical guest Johnson City Jazz Collective on Sunday, September 21, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the Plaza of the International Storytelling Center. Mr. Taco Dorado food truck will be on site, along with local brews from Main Street Café.
The Johnson City Jazz Collective is made up of Ashley Fuqua (vocals), Chris Taylor (guitar), Glenn Diamond (bass), Josh Cavinder (keyboards), Jason Carpenter (percussion), Alex Leonard (trumpet), and Norman Jacob (saxes).
This event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket to ensure seating. Food and Brews will start serving at 4 p.m. with music beginning at 5 p.m. There will be rotating food trucks and brews on tap each week.
Yoga in the Park takes place during Brews & Tunes at 4 p.m. in Jimmy Neil Smith Park behind the International Storytelling Center. This week’s teacher will be Rachael Santiago. Each class last about an hour. There is no cost to participate; however, donations are welcome. All levels are welcome, from beginner to advanced, and this series will be taught by certified instructors in the area. Participants can bring your yoga mat, towel, or blanket.
