Prehistoric Hunting: The Atlatl

How well can you use ancient technology to survive?

Before the bow and arrow was developed, ancient Texans successfully hunted large game such as bison, with a weapon used by many ancient civilizations all over the world. Come learn more about the Atlatl, a weapon used by men, women and children, to hunt and survive!

-Meet at the Equestrian Trailhead to join in.
-Signed Safety Waiver required to participate. (Provided at event)
-Must be 8 years old or older to participate. Adult supervision required for children 17 years old and younger.
-Normal entrance fees required to enter park, no additional fees to attend this event.
-Buy your entrance permit ahead of time! -Visit our Webpage to secure your entrance to the park on our busiest days!
