Astronomy has brought people together throughout history. What is out there? How can we find out? Join us in learning how you can explore the heavens yourself using your own eyes, binoculars, and telescopes!
We'll discuss best practices for using telescopes, how to navigate the stars, and where to look during different seasons!

7:30pm - Stories in the Stars Presentation begins
8:30pm - Open Stargazing
- Meet at the Star Theater (drive around Bird Blinds to park in the Equestrian Trailhead)
- Buy your permits at home! Go to our Website to purchase and print your permits ahead of time!
- Please check weather and this page before leaving for the event, weather can sneak up at the last minute. Final go/no go decision will be at 2pm the day before the event.
- Bring flashlights but please don't use them once the program has begun. Red lights are permitted for limited use.
- Child friendly.
- Dogs must be on a leash at all times and are not allowed near the telescopes.
- Normal entrance fees required to enter park. No additional fees to attend this event.
