Fall World Migratory Bird Day Guided Bird Excursion at Ankeny National Wildlife Refuge

Join Refuge staff and Salem Audubon Society for a morning bird outing around Ankeny National Wildlife Refuge in honor of Fall World Migratory Bird Day at the Ankeny Hill Nature Center.

Bring lots of water, sturdy shoes, a hat, extra clothing, and binoculars. Additional binoculars and field guides will be available as well.

We will meet at the upper parking lot of the Ankeny Hill Nature Center. Restrooms and water bottle filling station are accessible from parking lot and are the only available restrooms on the Refuge.

Trails and viewpoints around the Refuge are gravel, wooden boardwalks, or dirt.

No birding experience required!

No registration needed!

Time: (8:00am - 9:30am) Feel free to stay the entire time or part of the excursion!
