Ribbon Cutting for the Playground at Binder Park

JC Parks welcomes you to join us for the grand opening ribbon cutting of the new playground at Binder Park.

We'll gather on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 1:00 PM, with a ceremonial first spin on the inclusive whirl playground feature to take place around 1:15 PM.

Project improvement features:
- two family restrooms with exterior lighting
- ADA crosswalk from pavilion/parking lot to playground and restrooms
- Communications board (first in our park system!)
- Pour in Place safety surfacing (first in our park system!)
- new play system featuring a wrinkle wall, tri-net, numerous climbers, and three slides.
- Added feature! The Inclusive Whirl provides ease of access for people of all abilities with its ground-level, zero-entry design. It features seating (at transfer height), a large platform surface that exceeds the ADA requirement for turn-around space and handrails for users to grasp while spinning.
