Meet the Author! Travis Holt, Author of Hill Stories

Meet the author! On Saturday, September 20, at 10:30 a.m., local author, historian, and 7th generation Newton Countian Travis Holt will be at the Newton County Library to share some stories from his new book Hill Stories. Copies of Hill Stories and Holt's first book Red Rock Shadow will be available for purchase for $25 each.

Hill Stories is a "... collection of stories from the heart of the Ozark Mountains. Love, loss, tragedy, and triumph from outlaws and heroes abound in these pages. Locals share stories from many years ago as unmarked graves are found and memorialized."

About the author: Local historian and author Travis Holt is a 7th generation Newton Countian. He is the author of two books: Red Rock Shadow and Hill Stories. His journey as an author began with recording local stories and marking unmarked graves in and around Newton County.
