The 29 Hour New Play Workshops open this week with Lab Rats, a new work by Professor Saviana Stanescu, directed by Professor Danyé Brown. This new series highlights faculty-written plays and mirrors the Actors’ Equity 29-Hour Contract for developing new work. The production runs about two hours.

LAB RATS is a story about connection across species and attachment styles. The turbulent relationship between two people with distinct personalities - a neuroscientist and a poet - is analyzed by a special rat in the scientist’s lab, trying to understand the complexity of HUMANS.

Featured in Lab Rats are BFA Acting and Musical Theatre students Ryan Campos, Elliot Lee-O'Halloran, Jacob Long, Wyatt McDaniel, and Ava Puccio.
