Challenges related to farmer mental health are complex and have far reaching implications for agriculture and local communities.

Early research suggests that people who come into contact with farmers regularly could play a key role in supporting farmer mental health.

This talk will explore how farmers can be reached by these trusted local “accidental counselors” to improve mental health outcomes.

About David Rose: David Christian Rose is the Elizabeth Creak Chair in Sustainable Agricultural Change at Harper Adams University. His latest research has focused on farmer behavior, adaptation, and support.
