Garry Klein & Sabrina Claman in conv with David Gould - What Happened on the Garden Street Bus

Author Garry Klein and co-author/illustrator Sabrina Claman will talk with David Gould about their graphic novel, What Happened on the Garden Street Bus. What Happened on the Garden Street Bus is a "super cool graphic novel" on friendships and community. The Garden Street bus is mostly filled with strangers until a cute baby girl named Flora boards with her mother. Before long, a change is in the air. Garry Klein is an intrepid Midwesterner and first-time author residing in Iowa City, Iowa. Garry is a lyrical dad to a mystical cat and a loving husband to a marvelous mermaid named Betsy, who doubles as his partner of over 40 years. Garry was a career coach at the University of Iowa.

Sabrina Claman loves telling stories through art and animation. A recent graduate of the University of Iowa, she's now getting an MFA at the University of Connecticut. She finds inspiration sipping tea, doodling, and playing with her dog and farm cows.

David Gould is an administrator at the University of Iowa’s Belin-Blank International Center for Gifted Education and Talent Development and a member of the honors faculty.
