Total Mobility and Parking Drop-in Session

The Total Mobility Scheme helps fund accessible transport for people in our community with mobility restrictions. We administer the scheme across Southland – including the Gore and Southland districts.

In the last few years, the number of people using this service has risen significantly, which means so have the costs to provide it. To make sure we can keep it running for those who need it, we’re having to explore some changes.

Some options we’re considering:
👉 Lowering the subsidy from 75% to 50%
👉 Making sure users pay at least 25% of the fare
👉 Limiting the number of trips each person can take
