Retired Pasture-Raised Hens Seek New Digs!
They’ve lived their best lives on our pasture free roaming our farm —now they’re ready to retire in your backyard!
Last Saturday went really well! Almost a quarter of our retired ladies found new coops
We will be doing it again this Saturday, June 21st from 10am to 5pm !
Still lay eggs as they are between 2 and 2.5 years old-- just no longer in their peak egg laying days. Also great natural pest control as these ladies are experienced. They also have compost spreading to add on their resumes.
Various breeds -- I cannot tell you how many of each breed or what color egg each hen will lay. There are (now) appx 150 ladies left
$15 ea.
Put “Firefly Farm” into your GPS for best directions, otherwise GPS has been known to tell you to drive through our neighbor's house. Please don't do that 🤣
We are located in Indiantown.
Bring a ventilated box or crate to bring home your new hens. I won't have any boxes available.
They have not been vaccinated, we do not use any chemicals to deworm them and the only insect preventative we use is elector PSP.
First come first serve -- I'm not holding any or sorting through to find a specific breed. There will be appx 50 in large temporary pens near our farm store under our large shady oak tree for you to pick from.
Come give a hen a happy retirement!
