Director Brian De Palma announced his arrival as one of the top directors of his time with his chilling adaptation of Stephen King’s first novel. Carrie White (Sissy Spacek) is ostracized and bullied by her peers, and abused by her fanatically pious mother (Piper Laurie). When start happening around Carrie, she begins to suspect that she has telekinetic powers. When the popular clique plays a sick prank on her at the prom, she unleashes her power in one of cinema’s most-celebrated depictions of merciless and unstoppable fury.
