Farmhouse Comforts Cooking Class
Get ready for an evening of cozy flavors, good company, and hands-on cooking!
In this 3-hour culinary adventure (usually about 2.5 hours, but we like to allow extra time for recipe magic and friendly chatter), you’ll be guided by a trained Wholesome Roots Cooking instructor through two unforgettable dishes:
Farmhouse Chicken Stew with Buttermilk Walnut Dumplings – hearty, rustic, and packed with flavor.
Apple Dumplings – sweet, buttery, and the perfect ending to your meal.
Whether you’re flying solo, bringing a friend, or making it a date night, you’ll feel right at home. Our classes are relaxed and welcoming—perfect for both the social butterfly and the quiet observer. Jump in where you feel comfortable; most of the cooking is done right at your station, with occasional volunteer moments for those who want to help with group tasks.
This is a hands-on cooking class, so you’ll be chopping, stirring, folding, and tasting along the way. No experience? No problem! We’ll walk you through every step, share tips and tricks, and email you the recipes so you can recreate them anytime.
A few things to know:
BYOB – Bring your favorite beverage to sip as you cook! We provide water and glasses for beer or wine (but cannot serve or re-cork bottles).
Plan to eat toward the end of class—so a light snack beforehand is a good idea.
Please bring a container for any delicious leftovers.
