Introduction to Cake Decorating-Fall Themed

Who: -Adults
-Kids 12-15 may attend with an adult
-Teens 16-18 may attend alone
What We’re Making-You’ll start with a ready-to-go, 6-inch, two-layer spice cake—moist, fluffy, and just waiting for your creative touch. The instructor will teach fall themed decorating for this class!
Skills You’ll Learn
Buttercream Bliss – Make rich, creamy buttercream from scratch (and learn how to get it the perfect consistency for decorating). For this class we will be making a cinnamon buttercream to compliment the spice cake!
Crumb Coat Like a Pro – Seal in crumbs for a flawless finish every time.
Smooth & Sleek Frosting – Learn how to get that perfectly even, bakery-style look.
Piping Magic – Borders, rosettes, swirls… we’ll cover the piping basics that make cakes look beautiful.
Custom Flair – Explore toppings to make your cake uniquely yours.

Instructor: This class will taught by the owner of a small bakery business (Sugar & Thread) and a trained Wholesome Roots Cooking instructor!
Ticketing:
Adults and teens 16-18 are required to have their own ticket. Kids 12-15 may bring one adult over 18 with them to work on the same cake.
Allergies:
-At this point this class will not have any substitutions or accommodations. In the future, we hope to be able to accommodate food allergies!
-Classes must meet a minimum enrollment to run. You will be notified if this class does not meet the requirement.
