Join us for a refreshing Nature Walk & Write — a unique blend of mindful movement and creative expression in the heart of Houston at Eleanor Tinsley Park.

This immersive experience will guide you through scenic spots along the park's trails, where we'll pause to reflect, observe, and let the natural world spark creativity on the page. Whether you're a seasoned writer, a nature enthusiast, or just looking to reconnect with your creative side, this event is for you.

What to Expect: 🌿 A guided walk with intentional stops at planned locations
✍️ Reflective writing prompts inspired by the environment
🌀 Space to free-write, journal, or explore poetic thoughts
💬 Optional sharing and community connection

What to Bring:
– Your favorite notebook or writing pad
– Pens, pencils, or other writing tools (we’ll have extras if you forget!)
– Comfortable walking shoes
– Water & anything else you need to be comfy outdoors

🅿️ Free Parking Options
  1. The Water Works Visitor Center (105-B Sabine Street) - Offers free parking and is approximately a 10–15-minute walk to Eleanor Tinsley Park. ​
  2. City of Houston Lot H (1643 Memorial Drive) - Provides 400 free parking spaces on weekends and after 6 PM on weekdays. ​
  3. Small Lot Near Jamail Skatepark - Located adjacent to the park, this lot has about 20 spaces. Note that it can fill up quickly and is sometimes blocked off. ​
  4. Street Parking on Allen Parkway - Metered parking is available along Allen Parkway between Sabine and Taft Streets. Meters operate daily from 9 AM to 7 PM with a three-hour limit. Some free street parking may be found nearby, but always check for parking restrictions. ​
  5. Alternate Parking at 110 Sabine Street - If the nearby lot is full, consider parking here. It's about a half-mile walk to the park, crossing Sabine Bridge and following the trail. ​
