Hands-on Soil Health

FREE at Kachemak Bay Campus - Room B101 (Bayview Building) and then moving outside to the KBC Grows High Tunnel

Join Monica Kopp and Victoria Monsaint-Queeney of Homer Soil & Water to get down and dirty while learning key soil health principles. We'll run tests to see how to tell if soil is healthy or not, and learn what management practices can improve your garden soil. We'll get up close and personal with beneficial soil organisms and learn about the soil food web. Bring a small sample of your own soil to test how healthy it is!
