Every Which Way Rhubarb is a Live Auction on Saturday, July 12th at Grace Ridge Brewery, at 6:00.
It is a fundraiser for the Homer Community Food Pantry! We'll have a plethora of items for you to bid on! Think of a halibut fillet with a yummy rhubarb apricot jam! How about salmon fillets with a delicious rhubarb chutney! Perhaps juicy ribs with a rhubarb bbq sauce! The meat items will be frozen and vacuum sealed for you to prepare at home at your convenience!
How about a rhubarb cookbook with a bright apron and bottle of strawberry rhubarb wine! I do love cooking with wine, sometimes it even goes in the food!
Numerous pies, breads, desserts galore, all made with rhubarb or with a rhubarb condiment to go along with it! Strawberry rhubarb wine with some beautiful etched Alaskan wine glasses, rhubarb simple syrup complete with a bottle of champagne and limes! There's no limit to our patch of rhubarb offerings!
As you know times are hard and more and more folks are depending on the generosity of the Homer Community Food Pantry to provide them with food and assistance. Our numbers continue to grow of people in need. Funding is dependent on donors, grants and the kindness of many who donate their time and altruism to the pantry.
So please, mark your calendars for July 12th at 6:00 for this Homer Community Food Pantry Rhubarb Rendezvous!
