Holyoke Preservation Trust's 5th Annual Garden Tour

Step back in time and into a world of natural beauty at Holyoke Preservation Trust’s 5th Annual Garden Tour, a one-day experience that blends history, horticulture, and hands-on fun for all ages including a photography contest!

Wander through beautiful gardens, get tips from the gardeners, enjoy an informative lecture and collect (in honor of the shot heard around the world) authentic 18th-century recipes at each stop. By the end of your journey, you'll have the complete menu for a 1775-inspired meal, bringing the flavors of the past into your modern-day kitchen to help celebrate the year of the first battle of the American Revolution and next year’s 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence!

On June 28, 2025, you will check in at HPT located at 235 Chestnut Street (Masonic Temple), across from the Holyoke Public Library. There you will pick up your wristband and collect a map with a description and location of the gardens.

For the tour, you can either bike or drive at your own pace from 8:30 am-3:00 pm.

This event is RAIN OR SHINE. Plan your day to allow time to enjoy all of the gardens with some surprises along the way.

Dress appropriately and wear comfortable shoes. You might consider bug spray and sun protection.

You must show your wrist band at every location to have access to the gardens.

Tickets are $15.00 per adult through Eventbrite. Children 12 and under are free if accompanied by an adult.

Tickets can be purchased in person for $20.00 per adult on the day of the event at HPT located at 235 Chestnut Street.

Accessibility: Be prepared for some gardens to have a few steps, uneven ground, and a bit of an incline. None are wheelchair accessible.

* All proceeds benefit the Holyoke Preservation Trust to support programs, events, and projects that could not otherwise be funded by the Holyoke Preservation Trust.

** In consideration for participating in the event, by participating, the attendee and any adult and children under the age of 18 accompanying the attendee, agree to hold harmless Holyoke Preservation Trust, its Board of Directors and their officers, all other sponsors and supporters from any and all claims, demands, damages, expenses, and any other liability for injury, death, damage, loss or liability of any kind arising out of or resulting from participation in the Garden Tour excepting claims arising out of willful misconduct or gross negligence.
