Reggae legend Maxi Priest headlines a free day of Caribbean music, culture and food, celebrating Caribbean American Heritage Month. The evening also features Yohan Marley, and Lee Kelly & the Green House Band, a Caribbean Food village, and host Tanto Irie (Hot 105's Reggae Ride).
Maxi Priest is one of the most accomplished and versatile reggae artists in the world, second only to legend Bob Marley in hits. He has enjoyed numerous worldwide hits as well as a Number one pop chart smash and is widely credited with helping spread the gospel of reggae and Caribbean music. 2025 marks Maxi’s 40th year in the music business, and has already been received with accolades. In February he was inducted into the Jamaica Music Museum Hall of Fame at the reggae Gold Awards, and the Reggae Walk of Fame in January. With both awards coming from peers, Maxi was humbled and reminiscent of his musical journey thus far, and reminded the audiences that there is still plenty of work that needs to be done, including a project of some new singles and a Gospel album.
This concert is presented FREE to the public, produced by Rhythm Foundation with the support of the City of Hollywood, and made possible with support from the Broward County Cultural Division. Support is also received from Attorney Big Al.
