The first workshop sold out, so Julie is offering another one!
Celebrate summertime by creating your own durable, stoneware, ceramic planter suitable for indoor or outdoor use! In this 2-day Ceramic Planter Workshop, instructor Julie Zetina will guide you through the steps of handbuilding; from working with slabs of clay to designing creative feet for your planter. Plus, you will get to fashion a water dish to place beneath your planter to catch the drips.
Night 1: Participants will build the planter and dish using various tools and texturing devices. All work will be left at SMAC to dry thoroughly before bisque-firing in Julie’s kiln.
Night 2: Participants will choose a glaze option for their planters. After glazing, the works will be left for the second and final firing. All planters and dishes will be returned to the SMAC center for pick up (date announced via social media and in class).
The fee for this workshop is $65 and includes all supplies and instruction. No experience is necessary, Julie will guide you every step of the way! This is a non-refundable class as materials and preparations are made in advance.
