Sturgeon Moonrise Hike at Whiteside Mountain

When: August 9th, 7:00pm - 10:00pm
Where: Meet at Whiteside Mountain Trailhead. 91-170 Deville Dr. Highlands, NC 28741.

Join HCLT for a magical Saturday evening hike to watch August’s full moon, the Sturgeon Moon, rise over the Plateau from the summit of Whiteside Mountain. Experience the breathtaking sunset views from the west, and watch the Sturgeon Moon rise in the east as you wander through stunning trails. Led by knowledgeable guides from the Highlands-Cashiers Land Trust, you'll discover the beauty of the preserve while soaking in the vibrant colors of dusk and the serene glow of the moon. Bring your family, friends, and a sense of adventure for an unforgettable outdoor experience!

This hike is 2 miles round trip and considered moderate to strenuous.
