Join the Highlands-Cashiers Land Trust (HCLT) for a fascinating Kelsey Trail Preserve! Led by knowledgeable HCLT staff, this guided hike invites nature lovers of all ages to step into the mysterious and beautiful world of fungi.

Wander through the shaded trails of Kelsey Trail Preserve as we search for mushrooms and other fungi, learning about their vital role in forest ecosystems. From colorful caps to intricate mycelium networks, you’ll discover just how much life thrives beneath the surface of the forest floor. Whether you're a curious beginner or a seasoned mushroom enthusiast, this hike offers something for everyone.

Hike: 2 miles round trip, considered easy to moderate.
What to Bring: Water, comfortable hiking shoes, a rain jacket and curiosity! Optional: field guides, hand lens, and a camera.

This hike is free & open to all. Space is limited.
