MAPS Bird Banding

Ever wonder how scientists study wild bird populations? Join us for a Monitoring Avian Productivity and Survivorship (MAPS) bird banding session and witness science in action!

Visitors are invited to observe trained researchers safely capture, band, and release birds as part of a long-term study monitoring avian health and abundance. This is a unique opportunity to learn more about local bird species, conservation research, and the scientific methods used to track birds over time.
