Learning Birdsongs

Join us for a fun and engaging workshop with naturalist Topher Stephens, designed to help you identify local birds by their songs and calls using a simple, systematic approach.

We’ll begin with a short indoor presentation exploring key sound qualities like pitch, rhythm, and repetition, then head outdoors to practice listening, describing, and memorizing birdsongs through mnemonic devices and even vocal imitation!

No birding or musical experience required—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to tune into the language of the forest.
