Your story matters. Whatever your age, we all have many things in our lives worth writing about. We’ll bring together lovely activities to write about our life experiences in a positive and affirming way. Using different perspectives and creativity, we’ll recall some good memories, and tap into that inner wisdom we’ve gained along the way. Having a full day for the workshop, we’ll be able to try a variety of ways to access the wealth of our experiences, and have a relaxing time writing, chatting, and enjoying in the Garden.

As Writer in Wellbeing in Residence at the Garden and having led workshops here for 10 years, I know how these beautiful surroundings and atmosphere nurture words, ideas, creativity, and calm — as well as friendly and insightful discussion with like-minded and friendly people. Though you never have to read aloud anything you’ve written! All writing levels welcome, anyone can do it.
