Our next scheduled Hands On Morning and BBQ is happening. Details are below;
Date: Sunday, 24 August 2025
Meeting Place: Glenlyon Recreation Reserve Pavilion
Time: Sign in from 9:45am with Hand On Day to commence at 10am. BBQ to follow at approx midday
The focus of this morning will be on the Pollinator Garden, maintenance along the Biolink as well as maintenance around past plantings and the Dam including;
- Weeding and Mulching of Pollinator Garden
- Biolink Track maintenance - brush cutting, mowing
- Weeding past plantings and recovery of guards including National Tree Day sites at Glenlyon Dam and along the track between the 2nd bridge and Loddon Drive
- Managing sign-in and task allocation
- Photographing the morning's work
- Preparing the fellowship BBQ
Members are encouraged to bring along any required equipment to assist with this work including;
- brush cutters/whipper snippers
- rakes
- wire cutters & pliers
- personal protective equipment (PPE) – gloves, hat, water etc.
