Many individuals with IDD have experienced trauma, yet traditional support models often overlook the impact of trauma on behavior and mental health. This session will introduce trauma-informed care principles, helping professionals recognize trauma responses, create safe environments, and implement supportive interventions. Participants will engage in interactive discussions and real-world case applications to enhance trauma-sensitive practices.
