Signature Dark is a novel musical concept which runs the gamut of vivid and atmospheric soundscapes from ambient to drone, doom jazz and experimental music. The visual concept supports the audio narration, which is another key part of the piece.

rihmasto is the ambient project of Jarkko Lahti and Jukka Andersson, formed in 1996. Slow-moving soundscapes bend time and space, leading the listener into shifting perspectives where the familiar becomes strange and the small turns immense.
Field recordings, organic textures, and electronic layers merge into evolving stories that, in live performances, gradually take control and set the flow. Nature’s presence and raw energy remain at the core, making each experience deeply personal.

LIVE: Barbora Xu
Czech singer and multi-instrumentalist Barbora Xu (Barbora Šilhánová) has been working in Europe and Asia, exploring local poetry, string instruments, vocal techniques while composing music. Her work is deeply inspired by nature, the calmness, fragility and softness experienced in the natural light and soundscapes of forests, the fullness of human voice and handmade instruments combined.

Aleksi Myllykoski is an audio artist, composer, producer, and a well-respected DJ from Helsinki, Finland. He is also part of the widely known electronic music group RinneRadio.

LIVE: Jimi Tenor
Musician and composer Jimi Tenor has never settled for the traditional role of a pop artist. He is known as a productive musician whose work lies beyond current trends, and also as a performer who combines the finest elements of afro-american music, spontaneous silliness and shameless glamour in an original way.
The music industry has found it difficult to operate with Jimi Tenor at times. The hard rock driven Finland of the 80s considered him weird and too marginal. In Britain in the 90s he was seen as a trendy techno jazz artist, but Tenor soon confused the pioneering electro label Warp by delivering an imaginary - and expensive - soundtrack album with a symphony orchestra, instead of making minimalistic hits.
Today Jimi Tenor is an established European artist who operates outside the mainstream. His audience consists of clubbers and alternative rock enthusiasts looking for new perspective, but also of jazz and funk rebels. Those who understand that even unconventional pop music can move your body and heart.
VJ Kosk Visuals
Kristian Koskela, a media designer and VJ based in Helsinki, presents his visual worlds under the name KOSK. His grungy, distorted aesthetic has developed through experimentation and practice since he started VJing in 2021. His visuals commonly explore themes of human connection, natural patterns, and the meshing of analogue and digital technology.
The most cherished moments as a VJ have all come to KOSK from a deep sense of flow and spontaneity, which he hopes gets translated to the audience through the flashing of light and colour.

VJ Radom Doctors
Random Doctors is a Helsinki-based VJ (Video Jockey) group formed in 2004. Mixing up live visuals they explore the depths of our cultural subconscious fearlessly challenging djs and musicians to push their limits. From festivals to smallest underground clubs and art events Random Doctors stay true to their mission, to seek the magical moment where music, visuals and audience become one.

Kangastus is a VJ collective established at the start of the new millennium and has always had a strong environmental focus. Their visuals have enlivened various gigs, clubs, festivals, seminars, and direct actions. They will provide deep, relevant visuals, psychedelic joy, and personal treasures from the archives.

DJ Mihut
Mihut hails from Romania, a country known for its rich musical heritage, with his journey in Helsinki that began in 2015, starting at Bassoradio and nowadays on Radio Helsinki. He founded The Sound Collective, a record label, bringing Helsinki and Bucharest musically closer together, and co-founded among Melak the project H2B. In this SD event he will be playing ambient set.
DJ Das Venn
From a family history of diverse music to hoaning an ear for electronic sounds — Das Venn’s influences can be heard in many ways. Her sonic palette is imbued with an early interest in ambient, IDM and lofi-sound. Currently she brings her more relaxing soundscape out at Marski, while carrying a darker sound in the co-founded concept Collusion Helsinki. Her sound reflects interest in dark ambient, sentimental techno and other sonic treats impacted by the 90’s and deep emotion.
