Grant Lee Buffalo -yhtyeestä ja Gilmourin tytöt -sarjastakin tunnettu laulaja-lauluntekijä Grant-Lee Phillips saapuu intiimeille soolokeikoille G Livelabeihin!

Rolling Stone -lehti valitsi Gran-Lee Phillipsin parhaaksi mieslaulajaksi vuonna 1995. Häntä pidetään yhtenä sukupolvensa merkittävimmistä lauluntekijöistä, ja hänen taidokasta kitarointiaan on verrattu Neil Youngin, Bruce Springsteenin ja Bob Dylanin kaltaisiin legendoihin. Televisioyleisölle Phillips tuli tutuksi hittisarjasta “Gilmourin tytöt”, jossa Phillips esiintyi kaupungin trubaduurina.

Tänä vuonna Grant-Lee Phillips julkaisee 12. sooloalbuminsa “In the Hour of Dust”. Phillips kuvaa albumia henkilökohtaiseksi ja mietiskeleväksi teokseksi, joka yrittää löytää merkitystä hämmentävien aikojen keskellä.

Maailmanlaajuinen yleisö löysi tiensä Phillipsin musiikin pariin ensimmäisen kerran 1990-luvulla suureen suosioon ampaisseen Grant Lee Buffalo -yhtyeen levyillä. Yhtye tunnetaan mm. hiteistään Fuzzy ja Mockingbirds. 2000-luvulla Phillips siirtyi soolouralle folk- ja americana-painotteisella materiaalillaan ja tarjoili tarinoita, joissa on runsaasti yksityiskohtia ja inhimillisyyttä.

Konsertti on ikärajaton.

Singer-songwriter Grant-Lee Phillips, known for the band Grant Lee Buffalo and the Gilmour Girls series, will be coming to G Livelabs for intimate solo gigs!

Rolling Stone magazine named Grant-Lee Phillips the best male vocalist in 1995. He is considered one of the most important songwriters of his generation, and his masterful guitar playing has been compared to legends such as Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan. Phillips became known to television audiences from the hit series “Gilmour Girls”, in which Phillips appeared as the town troubadour.

This year, Grant-Lee Phillips will release his 12th solo album “In the Hour of Dust”. Phillips describes the album as a personal and contemplative work that attempts to find meaning in the midst of confusing times.

Global audiences first discovered Phillips' music in the 1990s through the albums of the Grant Lee Buffalo band, which rose to great popularity. The band is known for its hits Fuzzy and Mockingbirds, among others. In the 2000s, Phillips embarked on a solo career with folk and Americana-oriented material, serving up stories rich in detail and humanity.

The concert is open to all ages.
