Join us for an evening all about bike tires and wheels.
-why all the different size tires and wheels?
-what tread is best?
-what tire pressure should I be at?
-how do I prevent flats?
-what is the best tire for riding...rocks, mud, pavement, gravel, sand, etc, etc?
-how often do I need new tires?
-tubes or tubeless, which is best for me and why?
-will different tires or wheels make me faster and climb better?
Bring your questions as we discuss and demonstrate the above and many other topics about tires and wheels.
After general discussion, we will break into small groups to learn how to fix a flat and/or how to set-up and maintain a tubeless tires (depending on what YOU want to learn)
Light snacks and beverages supplied.
Standing room only, we have limited seating. If you prefer to sit please bring a camp-chair or similar for yourself.
About your seminar leaders:
Shop owner Joël will bring his knowledge as a professional mechanic, rider/racer, and Bicycling Magazine logistician. Joël has ridden and/or worked with all the tires and wheels out there. Our womens and Liv Cycling Ambassador Jess will bring her years experience and personal input racing and riding all over the world. From triathlon to road to mountain to gravel and cruising around town for ice cream Jess's bike tires have hit all the surfaces.
