A class for everyone to enjoy! You will use masking tape to tape out your birch trees while you paint the layers of bright colors
in for your sky and grasses. You will "spatter" paint to create the birch leaves.
All supplies are provided just please write in your email so I can send you the instructions ahead of time for you to bring to
class (or to practice ahead of time) Please bring a hairdryer

Artist Statement
As a child I was always interested in painting but when it came to high school and college my father steered me away from the arts to my other love- science, and a career that would "support me".
So, after 45 years of caring for kids as a pediatric critical care RN and serving in leadership roles in various Children's Hospitals around the States I retired, moved to Hayward WI and immediately studied watercolor painting.
The immense beauty that surrounds us is a never-ending muse that wants me to paint, paint PAINT!
Like every artist, my work is a culmination of inspiration from my life's journey and life lessons. My creativity, however, has always come from nature. Watercolor is my main medium as I love the transparency and way the colors
play with each other. I use archival materials and frame my own work mostly using reclaimed wooden frames.
"God is the true artist, the rest of us just paint". My hope is that my work brings joy.
