Right Way to Throw Away Day
The city of Hattiesburg and several partners will host the Right Way to Throw Away Day on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This event gives residents the opportunity to properly dispose of hazardous household items like cleaners, bleach, batteries, transmission fluid and electronics–in a way that protects our soil and water.

Two convenient drop-off sites will be available:
▪️Bobby L. Chain Municipal Airport (29 Academy Drive, Hattiesburg, MS 39401)
▪️Lamar County Multi-Purpose Center (99 Central Industrial Row, Purvis, MS 39475)

This is your chance to clean out the garage or shed and get rid of items the right way. We’ll share more details as we get closer to the date. Until then, start making your piles.
