There are 5 Different classes each week and students can take a MAXIMUM of 2 classes per week.
6:00pm
Doors open for dinner and socializing - dinner served downstairs or have your order delivered upstairs.
6:30 - 7:15pm (2 class options)
All Levels Movement Studies - Weekly Tasters
Various instructors covering things from solo movements, line dances, spins & turns, musicality and more. The idea is to present a wide array of content and topics so that students can diversify their knowledge and experience new ideas to add to their partner dancing and solo movement.
(*subject to change a little to meet needs of current students)
Prerequisites: none except maybe a curious attitude ;)
Lindy Hop Lev 2: Lindy Hop w/ Rye & Hanna
Prerequisites: Must know swingouts, circles, mixing rhythms, classic jazz steps, charleston, tandem charleston, currently be social dancing on a regular basis and probably working on your art form fairly consistently.
7:20 - 8:10pm (3 class options)
West Coast Swing Lev 2: West Coast Swing **Routine**- w/ Carla & Rye
Prerequisites: Please be able to dance the following: right side pass, left side pass, sugar push, sugar tuck, passing tuck, whip, starter steps, outside turn, inside turns, cut-off whip. We will be doing a sort of gentle “testing” in for this class week 1 and if you are not quite ready for it, please join level 1.5 at the same time, which is an excellent class to build your confidence, skill-set, and ability to recall moves on the social dance floor. You can’t go wrong with a solid foundation.
West Coast Swing Lev 1.5: Exploring West Coast Swing Patterns and connection - w/ Bree & Robbie
Prerequisites: Please be able to dance the following: right side pass, left side pass, sugar push, sugar tuck
Intro to Balboa - TBA
Prerequisites: none
8:15 - 9:15pm
Social Dance
West Coast Swing & Lindy Hop Mixer
Series Rates - Special Early-bird
• All class series include the social dance afterwards regardless of how many classes you take in an evening
2 classes a night for 6 weeks / person = $110 early-bird rate (registered by May 1st)
1 class a night for 6 weeks / person = $85 for the early-bird rate (registered by May 1st)
Dance Only: $5 / person
Drop-ins each week: $20 for 1 class and dance // $30 for 2 classes and dance
