We are having a Halloween style summer and jumping in on the Summerween trend! We’ve all tried carving pumpkins but have you ever tried your hand at carving fruit and veggies?! Join us for this new competition and show off your skills at the Hampshire Area Chamber of Commerce Summer Street Dance on July 18th!

Contest Rules
1) Pick a favorite fruit or veggie! Watermelon, pineapple, cantaloupe, peppers, turnip or an orange is are excellent ideas maybe you have other ideas too. You can use more then one fruit/veggie to stack your creation but all pieces must be attached to each other with a toothpick/pin/string/etc. Must stand up on its own! We will not be able to prop your creation up.
2) Place your creation on a piece of cardboard/small tray/sturdy paper plate for display. Display piece can be decorated and no larger than 10”x10”/ 10″ round. Please label your display piece with a name card with your first name and last name initial only.
3) Have your Jack-O–Lantern carved and delivered to the Park District Office between 3:30pm and 4pm on Friday, July 18th.
4) Contest age groups 6-8, 9-11, 12-14, and 15 to adult
5) 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be rewarded and winners will be announced on Monday, July 21st by Noon.
Community voting begins at 4pm when the Summer Street Dance begins and ends at 7:30pm on 7/18!
