Competition Open for Submission until 3 August 11:59pm
The theme for this year’s poetry competition is ‘The Delights of Winter’ & ‘Fig’, themes are open to interpretation.
Judge: Dr Joan Fleming
One entry per person. In order to be eligible to enter & win writers must currently be based in the Waikato region.
Each entry is to be formatted in 12-point font & double-spaced.
Entries should be submitted as a Word document or as a pdf.
Entries are limited to a maximum of one A4 page. Your name should only appear in your email entry but not on the A4 Word Document itself.
Competition is free to enter.
Competition Prizes; 1st place prize $30 Poppies Book Voucher, 2nd place prize $25 Poppies Book Voucher and 3rd place prize $20 Poppies Book Voucher. Winners will be announced at the August meeting.
Top 3 placed poems will be shared in the September Newsletter.
