Tree ID Hike at Audubon Acres
Best for ages 10+ | Approx. 2 hours | ~1 mile hike

Join us for an engaging outdoor learning adventure as we explore the beautiful southern bottomland forest at Audubon Acres and sharpen our skills in tree identification!

What to Expect:

A brief indoor session introducing tree ID basics

Learn how to use dichotomous keys

Discover tree features like bark, twigs, flowers, and leaves

Introduction to free tools like iNaturalist and SEEK app

Downloadable UT Extension Tree Guide will be shared ahead of time

What to Bring:

Tree ID book (if you have one)

Binoculars (optional)

Water, insect repellent, and sturdy shoes or boots

Whether you're a budding naturalist or just curious about the trees around you, this is a great opportunity to connect with nature and gain practical skills.
