2025 Team 911 Academy

Grand Haven Township Fire Rescue and the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office.

This one of a kind, 5-day program is designed for teens, ages 15 to 18, who may be interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement, fire services, or EMS. Participants will participate in a multitude of hands-on activities that will offer a glimpse of the overall emergency duties while learning some lifesaving skills. These activities include:

Firefighting skills
K9 demonstration
Group physical fitness training
Team building exercise
Tactical police training
CPR and First Aid
High Angle Rescue/Repelling
Defensive tactics
Vehicle extrication
Firearm safety and operations
Visit to Ottawa County Central Dispatch
