July's match will be Rimfire Tactical. In this event scoped 22LR rifles of 3 different classes are shot:
TRO(Trainer Rifle Optic) - any trainer rifle with a scope up to 4x
SRO(Sporting Rifle Optic) - any standard sporting rifle with a scope up to 9x.(If your optic is over 9x you may set it at 9x for this class)
Open - tactical, precision or varmint rifles(heavy bbl) with or without chassis or target stocks, or any rifle with scopes over 9x.
Competitors will need 30 rounds per class to shoot all 5 events and you may shoot all classes you have or can borrow a rifle for:
- Cold Bore - 50m - 1 round is shot at a small circle and another 4 are shot at a slightly larger circle.
- KYL - 50m - 5 circles of growing successively smaller with scores growing larger. If you miss one, however, you get zero for the event! Know Your Limit.
- Concealed Target - 50m - one box slightly obscures another. Engage the target with 10 rounds. Hit the wrong box and you get zero.
- 5 Dot - 25m for TRO, 50m for other classes - literally 5 dots. 1 minute, prone.
- 100yd Circle - 100m - seated or kneeling, 5 rounds.
Range fees are $10. Those who would like to shoot the TRO class may use the club's Norinco JW-25a rifle provided they bring their own ammo. It likes Winchester Power Point. Hope to see you there!
