Hello, Goring and Streatley Community!
We’re excited to introduce the Goring Repair Café – a free, volunteer-run initiative where we help repair your broken items and give them a second life!
Our mission is simple: reduce waste, save resources, and make a positive impact on the environment by repairing instead of replacing. It’s good for you, our community, and the planet.
How does it work?
Bring in your broken items – from small appliances to clothing, toys, and more – and our skilled volunteers will do their best to fix them. You can even sit with them, watch the process, and learn a bit about repairs yourself!
Come along, meet your neighbours, and let’s repair, reduce, and reconnect – together! Follow this page for updates, tips, and success stories.
Got questions? Drop them in the comments or send us a message. We’d love to hear from you!
Goring Repair & Exchange Café is a free community service to help reduce waste and increase sustainability. It is primarily for Goring and Streatley residents, but anyone is welcome to use the service as avoiding any waste wherever we can is our main aim.
The service is run entirely by enthusiastic unpaid volunteers to help repair broken products and provide opportunities for people to exchange perfectly good products which are surplus to their requirements and take away someone else’s perfectly good products in return.
